I give a weekly progress
report on Wednesdays. This year, they will be stapled to the inside of your
child’s planner. They should be
signed by you and returned to me on Thursday.
If your child misses two weeks in a row of progress reports, he/she will get a
check.
If an assignment is missing, it averages as a zero and should be made up
as soon as possible.
>My grading scale is 34% for
tests and projects and 66% for daily grades. I do not give extra credit or drop
the lowest grade.
>My e-mail address is
LeeFesmireHudson@yahoo.com I don’t make a lot of phone calls after school about behavior or homework. Instead, I’ll communicate with you
through your child’s planner. Please check it every day. There
are three things your child needs to do to make an A in my class: do all
their work, listen, and study.
>In English class, we learn
about the grammar, usage, and mechanics of our language. In writing class, we
put that knowledge to use. Sixth graders write memoirs and poetry. Seventh
graders write fiction. Eighth graders write opinions, tributes, and reviews.
>I will have
workbooks available for you to use at home if you would like one to supplement
our English book.
