Code of Conduct

 

  1. Respect- Students will be expected to respect teachers, adults, private propterty, support staff, other students, and themselves. It is imperative that words like: sire, ma'am, thank you, you are welcome, please, and excuse me be used when dealing with others. Respect for property is a must. Destructive behavior will not be tolerated and just compensation for any damages will be rendered.
  2. Character- Good character will be expected from each student.
  3. Violence- Violent actions will not be tolerated in any form. Yelling, aggravating, pushing, and shoving will not be tolerated in any form. The discipline will vary depending on the severity of the action.
  4. Punctuality- Students are expected to be here on time every day. Schedules are arrnged for a reason and that is to make sure the school day goes as efficiently as possible. Being late for school and class on a continuous basis will result in discipline.
  5. Contraband- Students possessing any illegal substance on school property will be dealt with according to school board policy. Drugs, alcohol, tobaccom or weapons fall into this category. The policy is a Zero Tolerance policy and infractions of this rule can result in a minimum of a 1-year expulsion from school.
  6. Profanity- Use of abusive language will not be tolerated for any reason. This falls under the category of respect and character.
  7. Classroom Rules- EAch teacher will have personal rules for thier classrooms. You are expected to follow them or expect to be disciplined. Rules are established to make sure that each room has an atmosphere that refects learning. Uncontrollable behavior will not be allowed.
  8. Planners- Planners are to be taken to class each day. They will be used as hall passes. They will also be used to record homework assignment notes, test dates, and discipline notes.
  9. Expectations- Students are expected to follow this list of rules. If a student deviates from the rules listed above, discipline will be swift, fair, and consistent. Parents will be notified of any major problems.
