During the summer of 2001, she assisted two colleagues in conducting an in-service session for other third grade teachers in the school district. This in-service was a collaborative effort between her colleagues to train others on the implementation of Alpha Smart Keyboards for use in the third grade classrooms.

Miss Layne is currently serving as a Co-Director for the LEAP'S - Lottery for Education AfterSchool Program at Spring Hill School. This position has given her the opportunity to work with children in a small group setting while providing tutoring and enrichment activities. The faculty, staff, and students are extremely proud for Miss Layne and feel fortunate that she has chosen Spring Hill School to make a difference in the lives of children!
