Registration dates for enrolling a new student(s) are below. The schools will also be open at this time to help with Parent Portal accounts and the registration process for returning students. Additionally, computers will be available to those who need access to complete the online forms.
Please allow approximately 45 minutes to complete the required paperwork for new enrollment, and approximately 15 minutes for returning students.

Gibson County Special School District student registration is online!
The system is available in English and Spanish. For parents without internet access, local school sites and District Office computers are available (check the 'On Location Registration Dates' to the left for dates). Paper registration forms are available at the District Office upon request.
Returning students should complete the registration process through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account via the website link below or launch the app on your phone.

Please use your previous username and password to sign in. Once logged in, please click on the PowerSchool Registration menu option. See the video for help on using the website if needed. Follow the onscreen instructions to register your student or students.
If you forgot your username and/or password, click 'Forgot Username and Password' on the login screen.
Submit proof of residency to the school, dated within 30 days of the first day of school. Please ensure your school's specific drop-off location for submitting proofs before delivering them. You do not need to print hard copies of the registration packet to send with your child on the first day of school.
New students must visit the enrollment school location before completing the registration forms.
You will need the following to register your child(ren):
Social Security Number (SSN) - suggested, not required
Birth Certificate
Proof of residency - see FAQ section for approved proof list
(The school may ask for another copy if the billing date is not within 30 days of the first day of school.)
After the on-location pre-registration, please complete your registration using the online portal. The school will provide the login information for the Parent Portal.
After receiving your Parent Portal login credentials, sign in to Parent Portal (https://gcssd.powerschool.com/public/home.html) and click PowerSchool Registration in the left-hand menu to complete the registration. There is no need to print registration forms once completed.
*Online registration does not guarantee placement in preschool programs. Meeting eligibility criteria and completing further paperwork is required. For more details, please contact the school.
